Year-Round Getting Around

One of the most distinct joys of a trip to Telluride is the reprieve from car travel (traffic, parking, gassing up) that the intimate box canyon can provide. The small town feel of Telluride is alive and well, and getting places is typically a breeze.

When staying in Telluride, skiing, walking, biking, the free gondola, and the Galloping Goose shuttle will be the recommended and most convenient modes of transportation. Grab a bike. Hop on a shuttle. Or, jump into a gondola box. It’s that easy.

Likewise, even when choosing the solace of a Mountain Village retreat, you’ll enjoy access to a free shuttle service (called Dial-A-Ride), and, as is the case with many of our Mountain Village homes, you are often just a short walk or gondola ride away from the Mountain Village core, shops, restaurants, ski lifts, golf course, biking and hiking trails.

The sum of the options and the ease of access lead most of our guests to skip the car rental route altogether, preferring instead the convenience of a private shuttle from the airport to the front door of your vacation rental. In fact, the pedestrian nature of our town is one of the details that draws back guests year after year.
