We're open // How we're keeping you safe

Reopening Level Yellow

As we surpass the one year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down our Colorado ski resorts, we’re grateful for the opportunity to remain open here in Telluride. However, we can’t do it alone. It takes every resident and guest following the county guidelines for us to continue to stay open. The Telluride Ski Resort, the shops and restaurants, and the free gondola, are all available for use because the community is taking the necessary precautions. So, when you come for a visit, make sure you’re aware of what’s required of you.

The best resource

If you’re unsure of what’s needed — where masks are required, how many households can share a gondola cabin — then check out the San Miguel County website. It’s the best resource we’ve found. It outlines all the information you need.

What is level yellow?

Right now, the county stipulates that Telluride has been categorized at Level Yellow. What does that mean? Well, there a few areas that are important for you be cognizant of:

  • Lodging — no more than 10 people from 2 households. So, if you’re planning to visit us, take the household recommendation into consideration.
  • Restaurants — have to remain at 50% capacity (or 50 people), whichever is fewer. Your favorite spots in town are open, but keep in mind that there may be longer wait times, given the capacity constraints. We always recommend making reservations too. Call our concierge if you’d like help with that!
  • Gatherings — again, no more than 10 people from 2 different households.

We want to stay open…for our community, and for you. Please be mindful of the COVID guidelines in place, and be sure to travel with masks and hand sanitizer, and anything else you need that’ll make you feel safe. Certainly give us a call if you have any questions.
