Reopening Level Red: Severe Risk
As the climate around the global pandemic, COVID-19, continues to evolve and change, we want to keep you informed about the status of San Miguel County. The county has recently increased from Level Orange: High Risk to a Level Red: Severe Risk status.
Level Red: Severe Risk
Cases are increasing, hospital beds are occupied, and the local governments are worried about being able to treat visitors, should they become infected while visiting. So, as of December 1st, 2020 San Miguel County has increased Telluride and Mountain Village to Level Red. Please read the official county announcement, here.
What Level Red Means
This means there are no private gatherings permitted indoors. And, restaurants have been closed to indoor dining. Take-out is still available, yet last call is at 8pm. Bars have also been closed — unless they serve food — and they’re only open for take-out, and also close at 8pm. Gyms and fitness groups have also been reduced to 10% capacity or fewer than 10 people. And, the county also recommends that nonessential travel by air or car should be avoided. Detailed information can be found here.
The Ski Resort is Open
With take-out and outdoor dining options available, the ski resort remains open. Yes, you have to wear a mask. You must maintain 6 feet of social distancing at all times, and gondola cabins as well as chair lifts are operating with one household, which means fewer people at a time. But, you’re outside, and the resort is open!
Even with these modifications, we’re confident you’re able to have a wonderful, enjoyable and safe ski vacation. Certainly call us with any questions or concerns. We’d be happy to help!More Dining & Nightlife > More Reopening >
